Capture the true feeling of a winter night in the beautiful fell scenery. The best way to catch a glimpse of the northern lights is to head out into the dark forest with snowshoes. During our walk we will stop to admire the nature and learn about animal tracks in the snow.<\/p>\n

If the sky is clear,\u202fwe will see the bright stars and with a little luck the\u202fcolourful\u202fnorthern lights.\u202fStopping at a fire place we will have a hot drink and our guide will also tell us interesting stories about the arctic region.\u202f Length of the walk is 2-5 km.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Join us on this journey to experience the Northern lights in the magnificent Ruka, Kuusamo area!<\/p>\n

Please note: Northern lights sightings cannot be guaranteed because they are subject to weather conditions and solar activity.<\/p>\n

The activities are open departures and program will be done if minimum 4 persons is joining.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0We will notify you at the latest by 3 p.m. the day before if the program is cancelled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What\u2019s Included<\/h3>\n

Activities are guided and include all necessary gear and winter outfit. If you need winter equipments, come to the meeting point Ruka Safaris Safari center 15 min earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pick-up available from central Ruka area from certain pick up points. Details provided upon booking.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Minimum of 4 participants required for departure<\/li>\n
  • Confirmation or cancellation will be sent by 3 p.m. the day before\n<\/li>\n
  • In all cancellation\u2019s office fee 50 \u20ac will be withheld\n<\/li>\n
  • 100% cancellation fee if canceled 14 days or less before the tour\n<\/li>\n
  • 50% cancellation fee if canceled within 20-15 days\n<\/li>\n
  • Cancellation f<\/span>ree of charge until 21 days before the date of the tour (except 50 \u20ac office fee)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
