Search for the Northern Lights, snowshoe walking through the fell scenery
Capture the true feeling of a winter night in the beautiful fell scenery. The best way to catch a glimpse of the northern lights is to head out into the dark forest with snowshoes. During our walk we will stop to admire the nature and learn about animal tracks in the snow.
If the sky is clear, we will see the bright stars and with a little luck the colourful northern lights. Stopping at a fire place we will have a hot drink and our guide will also tell us interesting stories about the arctic region. Length of the walk is 2-5 km.

Please note: Northern lights sightings cannot be guaranteed because they are subject to weather conditions and solar activity.
The activities are open departures and program will be done if minimum 4 persons is joining. We will notify you at the latest by 3 p.m. the day before if the program is cancelled.

What’s Included
Activities are guided and include all necessary gear and winter outfit. If you need winter equipments, come to the meeting point Ruka Safaris Safari center 15 min earlier.
Pick-up and Meeting
Pick-up available from central Ruka area from certain pick up points. Details provided upon booking.
Booking & Cancellation
Minimum of 4 participants required for departure
Confirmation or cancellation will be sent by 3 p.m. the day before
In all cancellation’s office fee 50 € will be withheld
100% cancellation fee if canceled 14 days or less before the tour
50% cancellation fee if canceled within 20-15 days
Cancellation free of charge until 21 days before the date of the tour (except 50 € office fee)
