Trek through snowy silence in Riisitunturi’s wild beauty
Snowshoe hike to Riisitunturi National Park
During this hike you go to experience the wonderful fell landscape of Riisitunturi National Park. After meeting your guide and gearing up, you will have a transfer to the starting point of the hike (about 45 minutes).
The snowshoe hike takes you through the marshmallow trees to the top of the fells where you have a panoramic view over the region. On a bright day you can even see Kitkajärvi, Europe’s largest spring water lake.
Along the way you will learn about the arctic nature and the way of life in Lapland. During the 3-6 kilometers hike you also take a break by the fire with coffee and a snack.
Your guide will decide the route depending on the current conditions and the group. The minimum age for this safari is 12 years.
The activities are open departures and program will be done if minimum 4 persons is joining. We will notify you at the latest by 3 p.m. the day before if the program is cancelled.

What’s Included
Activities are guided and include all necessary gear and winter outfit. If you need winter equipments, come to the meeting point Ruka Safaris Safari center 20 min earlier.

Confirmation or cancellation will be sent by 3 p.m. the day before
In all cancellation’s office fee 50 € will be withheld
100% cancellation fee if canceled 14 days or less before the tour
50% cancellation fee if canceled within 20-15 days
Cancellation free of charge until 21 days before the date of the tour (except 50 € office fee)
