Unique Accommodation in Jokijärvi
A stunning traditional log cabin with a veranda and a cosy open-plan kitchen and living area. Completed in December 2020, the cabin is situated in a peaceful location, with the nearest neighbour approximately 1 km away.
The cabin features underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove and an air-source heat pump. It accommodates up to eight guests.
Nature and Outdoor Activities
There is a large traditional Finnish barbecue hut in the grounds, which guests are welcome to use. Lake Jokijärvi is approximately 600 metres away and has a swimming beach and a rowing boat.
The cabin has direct access to an official snowmobile trail. The Simosenpolku hiking trail passes right by the property, and a maintained connecting trail provides access to the local cross-country skiing network.
Kallioniemi, the childhood home and museum of renowned Finnish author Kalle Päätalo, is approximately 3 km away.
A Characterful Cabin for Families and Groups
Originally built as a hunting club lodge, the cabin has a distinctive interior that tastefully combines old and new materials.
The spacious open-plan kitchen and living area is suitable for meetings and celebrations for larger groups, while also providing a comfortable setting for families and smaller parties.
The characterful sauna features a wood-burning sauna stove and a traditional wood-fired water heater. An outdoor hot tub is also available for an additional fee.
Hiking, Hunting and Fishing
The Kylmäluoma Hiking Area is approximately 25 km away.
The cabin is an excellent choice for anyone seeking peace, nature and outdoor activities, with plenty to experience throughout the year.
Hunting and fishing permits are available upon request – please enquire when making your booking. Guests staying at the cabin may also obtain hunting permits for the hunting club’s privately owned land.
Good to Know
Bed linen is not provided, so guests should bring their own.
Guests are responsible for cleaning the cabin before departure. Alternatively, final cleaning can be booked for €100 by contacting the host.
